The sunflower starfish has radial symmetry. The sunflower starfish is the largest starfish in the world. This is because it can grow up to have an arm span of 1 meter in diameter. It can also grow up to 14-16 rays also knows as its arms that have a bunch of powerful suckers on them. It has a mesh like skeleton that protects its internal organs. When this starfish is easily stressed by other predators such as big fish or other starfish, they shed some of their arms to escape which regenerate in about a week later. They are mostly found around urchin barrens. When they hunt they are quick hunters well......for a starfish. Their top speed is about a meter a minute.

They main creatures they hunt then eat are. clams, snails, abalone, sea cucumbers and other sea stars.
